Perhaps increasingly than any other type of photography, astronomical photography is just insanely impressive - the stratum of patience and tenancy required to get good photos of the night sky, let vacated afar stars and planets, is nonflexible to overstate.
That's one of the reasons why there are awards defended entirely to astronomy photographs.
The Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition is run by the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
Each year the competition receives thousands of variegated entries from all over the world. Now this year's winners have been revealed and as you can imagine they're truly amazing. The winners will be exhibited in the National Maritime Museum for all to enjoy.
